Editorial Policy

People make expensive, multi-year decisions on the basis of what we publish. This page sets out the rules Study Riserr Education Private Limited holds itself to in producing it, so you can judge whether to trust it.

Where information comes from

We take facts from the source that owns them:

• Fees, eligibility, curriculum and admission dates — the university’s own prospectus, fee circular or admission page.
• Approvals and entitlement — the University Grants Commission and its Distance Education Bureau.
• Accreditation and rankings — the awarding body, such as NAAC or NIRF. We reproduce these; we do not assess them ourselves.

Where a figure cannot be traced to one of these, we would rather say nothing than fill the gap. A blank on this site means we do not have the information, and pages are built to show “on request” rather than an estimate that looks like a fact.

What we will not do

• Invent a figure to fill a space. No placeholder fees, ratings, review counts or placement statistics.
• Publish a review we did not receive. Student reviews are real submissions, moderated for abuse and spam — not written by us.
• State a claim we cannot source, such as a placement percentage or salary figure the university has not published.

Commercial interests

We earn when a student we referred enrols at a university. We think you should know that while reading anything we write, so we say it on our About page too.

Those arrangements do not buy:

• a higher position in a list or comparison;
• a better rating or a more favourable description;
• the removal of an unflattering but accurate fact;
• the exclusion of a competing university.

Comparison order is set by the criteria named on each page — fee, rating, accreditation or whatever that page states — and the same criteria apply to every university in it, whether we hold a relationship with them or not.

Keeping it current

Course and fee pages are reviewed against the university’s published information on a rolling basis, and out of cycle when a university announces a change or a reader tells us something has moved.

We are a small team and universities change things quietly. That is exactly why every page asks you to confirm the details with the university before you pay — see our disclaimer.

Corrections

If something we publish is wrong, we want to fix it rather than defend it. Write to support@studyriserr.online with the page and what is wrong. We will check it against the university’s own source and correct it if it does not hold up.

Universities are welcome to write to us about their own listing. Corrections of fact are made on the same basis as anyone else’s — against the source. Requests to remove accurate information are not.

Automated assistance

The assistant on this site answers from our own published data. It is a convenience for navigating what is already here, and its answers are held to the same standard as the pages behind them — where it does not know something, it should say so rather than guess.
